I’m an Assistant Professor at the department of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology. My interests are amongst others in designing for rehabilitation & healthy living, end-user adaptable systems, internet of things, playful interaction, and communities. I’m leading the Health squad, I’m a member of the Eindhoven Young Academy of Engineering and a founding board member of the Centre for Unusual Collaborations.
In the past, I have worked as a UX consultant at Alten. Before that, I did my Ph.D. in Industrial Design on End-user Adaptable Rehabilitation Technology (2015), as part of which I spent 3 months at the L3D lab of the Colorado University at Boulder. I have also graduated from the User System Interaction PDEng programme of the Stan Ackermans Institute (2012), and I hold an MSc degree in Human Media Interaction (2010) and a BSc in Computer Science (2007) from the University of Twente.
Together with Iris Soute, I founded Picoo. Picoo is an interactive outdoor game platform that combines the best of traditional cooperative play and interactive gaming.
